Pier
1, north-south oriented and about 200 meters from Ponta
da Madeira, can handle vessels with up to 420,000 dwt.
The handling of vessels of less than 20,000 dwt requires
previous consultation with the administration of CPPM.
It
is built of reinforced concrete, and supported by metal
sheathed concrete piles, of lost mold type, distributed
as follows:

Four Berthing dolphins;
· Six Mooring dolphins;
· Linear Type Shiploader;
· Tugboats Pier;
· Access Bridge, service road and walkways.

- Water supply
Water is supplied up to the limit of 200 tons per vessel,
with flow ranging from 20 to 40 tons/hour. There are
water outlets of 2½" of diameter.

- Bunker supply
It is allowed only through proper embarkations. However,
as such embarkations are not available, bunker supply
is not possible.
09 - Ballasting
CVRD terminal does not have facilities for unboarding
sewage waters, dejects or contaminated materials.
